Deleting your Lire account
A Lire account is the e-mail address of your invitation and what you read: it is used on the site lireapp.fr and in the Lire app for iPhone and Android. You can delete it yourself, at any time, in three ways.
How to
- In the app: open “Profile”, tap “Delete my account” at the bottom of the page, then confirm. You are signed out at once.
- On the site: sign in with the code received by e-mail, open “Profile” and, under “Account”, choose “Delete my account”, then “Yes, delete permanently”. Open “Profile” →
- By e-mail: write to us, from the address of your account, to lire@savoirvideo.fr; we delete the account within one month and confirm it to you.
What is deleted
Immediately and permanently, on our servers:
- your e-mail address and your invitation;
- your sessions on all your devices;
- the language of your explanations and your level;
- where you were in each chapter and your listening history;
- your saved words and your reviews;
- your mistake reports and your explanation counters.
If you are the last administrator of a space, deletion is refused: first appoint another administrator, or write to us.
What stays
The anonymous listening counters (number of listens and seconds per chapter and per day), with no identifier: 13 months.
The explanations of sentences: they describe the book, not you, and serve every reader.
The technical logs of our servers (IP address, date, requested page): 30 days. Database backups are overwritten within 30 days.
On your phone
Deleting the account signs you out and erases the restricted chapters kept offline. To erase your settings and the public chapters kept offline as well, uninstall the app.
